DURING YOUR STAY

Our Facilities

Our Rooms

We have 4 ensuite bedrooms with walk in showers, large sliding doors opening onto a terrace with private seating area. All bedrooms overlook the Fowey Estuary, the village of Golant and surrounding countryside.

Bed Linen and Towels

All rooms have organic bed linen, towels are provided (not beach towels) reading lights, a USB charging socket, seating, books, clothes hangers, and a bottle of water, glasses and mugs. Tea and Coffee are available in the Breakfast room all day, and we have extra jars of tea, coffee and flasks for hot water and milk at night.

Breakfast

You are welcome to take your breakfast to your room, or terrace, but please return your crockery for washing up!

Meeting Room

Our spacious meeting room, with its kitchen and ensuite wetroom is available for courses, conferences, small weddings and parties. It has private space on the terrace overlooking the river.

Self Catering

When it is not used as a meeting room we convert it to a self catering apartment with the addition of a kingsize bed.

Library

We have a small library area in our Breakfast room, with seating, magazines, books and some games, which guests are welcome to use. Please remember to leave things behind for the next guest.

Places to Sit

There are lots of places to sit – either on your own private part of the terrace, or there are various tables and chairs around the building, plus benches in every area of our wilder land.

Parking

We have one parking space per room in our parking area halfway up our rather steep track. We ask guests to please leave the car there and walk the rest, in order to preserve the tranquility.

12 acres to explore

We have 12 acres of mixed wood and pasture, with a large wildlife pond, which guests are welcome to explore. There are lovely views, and seats in each area.

Miles of Walking

There are miles of walking paths to explore, including access to the Saints Way Path – running from Padstow to Fowey, and we can arrange kayaking tours and hire from our sister company Encounter Cornwall. Paddleboard tuition is also available. We are very happy to advise/suggest routes.

We can connect you to a local practitioner of therapeutic massage and treatments, which you can enjoy in the comfort of your room, or the treatment room is available in the village.

Local Artwork

We have local artwork for sale in an ever changing display throughout the building.

Electric Cars

Although we cannot guarantee availability, we do have facilities to charge an electric vehicle (3 pin socket) from our solar power when we have excess (fingers crossed for a sunny day!)
