YOU’RE SPOILT FOR CHOICE IN CORNWALL!

Quality produce always sourced as locally as possible gives you a great start to the day

We offer a continental buffet breakfast, so that you can help yourself when you are ready. We normally offer this between 8am-10am, but are happy to be flexible if you can give us some notice! We try to source our food as locally as possible – bread is either from Quay Bakery or Niles in Fowey. Our local Leyonne farm produces milk for Trewithen Diaries, so we use their butter, milk and yoghurt as much as possible. Eggs are also supplied by the farm, the coffee is from Olfactory coffee roasters in Falmouth and tea from the Tregothnan estate, also near Falmouth. We try to cater for all dietary needs, but would appreciate some advance notice, as sourcing products are not always straightforward and easy where we are! Cereals are from local suppliers made nearby, and Apple juice from Kerensa Aval, a small producer near Saltash that uses Cornish varieties of apples.

DURING YOUR STAY

Drinks and Biscuits

During the day tea and coffee are available, and sometimes cake or biscuits, which you are welcome to sample in the Breakfast Room. We will provide flasks of milk and hot water in the evening, so that you can enjoy your morning cuppa without having to leave your room. If you would like breakfast on the terrace you are very welcome to use the tray in your room and help yourself – we just ask you to return it on your way out, so we can wash up!

We are happy to prepare a simple packed lunch if you would be kind enough to let us know the day before if possible.

EVENING MEALS

EVENING MEALS

Great local food

At the moment, we are not offering evening meals, as we know that Nick and the team at the Fisherman’s Arms, a short walk away, do such a good job! You can also sample the fine dining at Golant’s Cormorant Hotel. There are many good places to eat outside the village, and we are very happy to recommend places. Unless you are booking the Barn Owl Suite, or the whole building, there is no facility to self cater.

Coronavirus Update

We are delighted to say that we will be able to take bookings from now onwards, with limitations on the numbers of rooms that are available.

There will be hand sanitiser both outside, and inside the main door, which you will be asked to use, and we ask you to also bring one with you, and carry it at all times.

We have always taken a great deal of time and trouble to make sure everything is as clean as possible, but this will become of even greater importance to ensure that there is no transmission of the virus in every way we can.
