A SUITE WITH B&B OR SELF CATERING
Want a little more space or self catering overlooking the Fowey estuary?
When our spacious function room is not being used for courses or events it has been designed to convert to a large 9m x 6m open plan suite with B&B or self-catering options. It has its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom and a large terrace overlooking the estuary. A lockable door connects it to the rest of the building. Additional guests can book the room(s) next door if necessary. It has a comfortable kingsize bed with reading lights attached and a double sofa bed which has a topper for extra comfort. Bed linen is organic, fair trade, with blankets by Weaver Green, made from recycled bottles. There is water and glasses, locally sourced cookies, and plenty of crockery in the kitchen. The large bathroom / wet room has a walk in shower, Egyptian cotton towels, handmade shampoo and soap bars by the Clovelly Handmade Soap Company. The kitchen area has a large oak table and chairs, with sink, gas cooker and small fridge. In addition to the sofa there are also two comfy armchairs. There is a USB charging point for mobiles etc.
SUITABLE FOR ALL
This suite has also been also been designed to accommodate most guests in a wheelchair or with mobility needs. The triple glazed, sliding door is slightly larger with a flat threshold, and the bathroom is large with a wheel in/walk in shower and lowered hand basin and shelf. Extra bathing help such as a shower stool, raised toilet seat and suction grab handles can be supplied on request. However, please note that the kitchen has not been adapted in any way.
ENJOY A GREAT SLEEP
ENJOY A GREAT NIGHT
We have sourced wool duvets, organic, fair trade linen, and blankets & rugs by Weaver Green – which are made from recycled bottles! Much of the other furniture is up-cycled: headboards are made from wooden flooring or cladding from the original barn, and the rooms are painted with Earthborn clay paints. Rooms have bottle of our own borehole water, recycled glasses and a cookie jar of locally sourced biscuits. Rooms don’t have kettles but tea, coffee and flasks are always available in the Breakfast room. USB charging points are provided along with a selection of books; with more in the Breakfast room library where you can also borrow games, maps, walking guides and binoculars.
