A bright and uplifting room with incredible views of the estuary

This bright, sunny yellow room has been designed to reflect the buttery tones of the Birch leaves in the autumn. It enjoys fantastic views of the river from the bed, and a triple glazed sliding glass door leads to a table and chairs on the terrace. A planter box divider creates a little privacy. The kingsize bed can convert to a twin – and there are storage drawers underneath. There are cast iron wall hooks and hangers to hang clothes as well. Oak and Birch can be booked together to make a private to bedroom suite with a lockable door in the corridor.

All Ensuite

All bathrooms are ensuite and have walk in showers, with a fixed rain head and detachable spray head, hooks for towels, a wood counter with a basin and extra shelving for your toiletries. Windows or skylights provide natural light. We supply guest soap and a trial shampoo bar from the Clovelly Handmade Soap Company, and a travel tin so that you can take your soaps with you. Towels are Bamboo & Cotton and a bath mat is supplied, but not beach towels.

We have sourced wool duvets, organic, fair trade linen, and blankets & rugs by Weaver Green – which are made from recycled bottles! Much of the other furniture is up-cycled: headboards are made from wooden flooring or cladding from the original barn, and the rooms are painted with Earthborn clay paints. Rooms have a bottle of our own borehole water, recycled glasses and wine glasses & champagne flutes. There is a kettle, Tregothnan & Pukka teabags, Olfactory filter coffee, and a cafetiere. There is small guest fridge in the entrance hallway with fresh milk and we can also supply a small coolbox with blocks that can be changed daily on request. USB charging points are provided along with a selection of books; with more in the Breakfast room library where you can also borrow games, maps, walking guides and binoculars.
