KING SIZED ROOM OR PRIVATE SUITE
Oak is the largest of our four rooms and can be made into a two bed suite.
This is the largest of the four bedrooms. The colours reflect the abundant oaks of the estuary, carpeted with bluebells in the spring. It has plenty of space for a couple or up to 3 friends as there is a single day bed / sofa in the room. It has tall glazed windows either side of the bed and one in the side wall, which floods the room with evening sun. The zip & link bed can be a Kingsize or twin. There are storage drawers in the base, and there are wall hooks with hangers for clothes. The daybed / sofa can convert to a full size single bed if required. The room lights are also accessed from the bedhead as well as the room entrance.
COMBINE WITH BIRCH
Oak and Birch bedrooms can be booked together, as there is another lockable door in the corridor that can be closed off in order to make a private suite of two bedrooms.
The bedroom has also been designed to accommodate guests in a wheelchair or those with mobility needs. The triple glazed, sliding door is slightly larger with a flat threshold, and the bathroom is larger with a wheel in/walk in shower and lowered hand basin and shelf. Extra bathing help such as a shower stool, raised toilet seat and suction grab handles can be supplied on request.
YOUR PRIVATE BATHROOM
YOUR PRIVATE BATHROOM
All bathrooms are ensuite and have walk in showers, with a fixed rain head and detachable spray head, hooks for towels, a wood counter with a basin and extra shelving for your toiletries. Windows or skylights provide natural light. We supply guest soap and a trial shampoo bar from the Clovelly Handmade Soap Company. Egyptian cotton towels and a bath mat are supplied, but not beach towels.
A QUALITY STAY
We have sourced wool duvets, organic, fair trade linen, and blankets & rugs by Weaver Green – which are made from recycled bottles! Much of the other furniture is up-cycled: headboards are made from wooden flooring or cladding from the original barn, and the rooms are painted with Earthborn clay paints. Rooms have bottle of our own borehole water, recycled glasses and a cookie jar of locally sourced biscuits. Rooms don’t have kettles but tea, coffee and flasks are always available in the Breakfast room. USB charging points are provided along with a selection of books; with more in the Breakfast room library where you can also borrow games, maps, walking guides and binoculars.
